Anesthesia Program aims to train individuals who can perform necessary preparations for anesthesia and resuscitation units, operating rooms, and intensive care units of healthcare institutions. They will be capable of supporting an anesthesiologist during the surgical procedure by monitoring and controlling the patient. After surgery, they will be responsible for monitoring the patient’s overall condition, documenting relevant information in forms to ensure a comfortable and painless anesthesia process for the patient.
In addition, the program includes the following skills:
✓ Undertaking maintenance of anesthesia equipment and ensuring necessary follow-ups,
✓ Taking responsibility for tracking and completing the inventory of medical drugs and materials used before, during, and after surgery,
Alongside advanced anesthesia machines and techniques, the curriculum covers fundamental medical courses such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, systemic diseases, etc., as well as practical lessons in clinical anesthesia, postoperative care, and first aid.
Upon successfully completing the Anesthesia Program, graduates are awarded the title of ‘Anesthesia Technician.’
Objective
Our university aims to educate technicians who can prepare patients for surgery, assist anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, and take charge of patient monitoring and supervision after surgery.

We aim to train students in Istanbul Gedik University, Gedik Vocational School, Anesthesia Program, to become individuals with the necessary professional competencies in the field of Anesthesia Technology, meeting international standards.

After Graduation
After graduation, students can work as anesthesia technicians in both public and private healthcare institutions. They can work in accordance with the instructions of the physician in the units of the public and private inpatient treatment institutions connected to the Ministry of Health, according to the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS), they can be appointed as Health Technicians, They can easily find jobs in any health institution (public hospital, private hospital, maternity hospital, university hospitals, private clinics, etc.).
