Banking and Insurance

The Banking and Insurance Program at Istanbul Gedik University Gedik Vocational School started its educational activities in the 2011-2012 academic year. Our program, which is conducted in Turkish, provides higher education services to meet the workforce needs of banks, insurance companies, factoring and leasing companies, and intermediary institutions, which are important actors in the finance sector.

As of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, within the framework of the implemented 3+1 Vocational Training Model, our students will have the opportunity to gain sector experience through “Vocational Training in Business” in their fourth semester while continuing their higher education process. Additionally, thanks to the communication network established by the academic staff of the program within the scope of university-industry cooperation, students will have the chance to get to know the finance sector closely through technical trips.

Aim:

The aim of the Banking and Insurance Program is to educate graduates who can follow the changes and innovations in the finance sector, have a sufficient knowledge of economics, be qualified to work in intermediary institutions, and be able to compete with time by effectively using office and information tools.
