The main objective of our Child Development Program is to train professionals who understand the importance of child development and education, acquire knowledge about the development characteristics, habits, and needs of children aged 0-6, and can take measures to address potential issues that children may encounter. Additionally, the program aims to train technical personnel who can recognize children with special educational needs and organize suitable educational environments for them while being conscious of maternal and child health.
To achieve our goal, the curriculum is designed considering the physical, intellectual, cognitive, and psychomotor development processes of children. Courses such as child development, mental health, special education, play, creative drama, music, material development, children’s literature, science, and mathematics have been selected as fundamental courses to produce graduates in line with our objectives. The program curriculum is complemented with compulsory subject courses and foreign language courses.
Candidates who wish to study in our program are preferred to have qualities such as a love for children, tolerance, patience, democratic attitude, success in human relations, openness to innovations, manual dexterity, creativity, productivity, energy, extroversion, perseverance in work, reading, and continuous research, as well as an interest in visual arts (such as music, painting, drama, and play).
