Cookery Kitchen Workshops

The Cookery Program returned from the Chocolate Cup22 Competition with trophies.

Our students returned with medals from the World Halal Summit International Chefs Championship

Our students competed in the World Halal Summit International Chefs Championship in the Team Turkish Cuisine Category. Fatma Sıla Hancı won the Gold Medal in the Fish Category (Stuffed Sea Bass with Eggplant).

In the Geographical Indication Soups category, our student Nisanur Yılmaz won the Silver Medal with Gaziantep Pastry Soup.

In the Pasta Category, Nuriye Karakelle won the Bronze Medal with Kayseri Oil Ravioli.

In the Team Turkish Cuisine 1st Group, our students Ecenur Dardağan, Zeynep Yeşilyurt, Melih Aktürk won the Bronze Medal with Stuffed Fig, Lamb Mutancana, and Antep-style Cheese Semolina Halva.

In the Team Turkish Cuisine 2nd Group, our students Sıla Hancı, Gamze Kader, Edanur Yaşar won the Bronze Medal with Palace Soup and Çökertme Palace Ashura.

Our student Selen Karaca, who competed in the 2nd Group Far East Cuisine, received a Merit Award for making Sushi.

The faculty members of the Cookery Program participated in the launch of the “Zero Waste Life, Zero Waste Kitchen” project.

The faculty members of Istanbul Gedik University’s Cookery Program participated in the launch of the ‘Zero Waste Life, Zero Waste Kitchen’ project organized by Esenler Municipality to raise awareness about food waste.

On the occasion of October 31st, World Savings Day, the Cookery program instructors will continue to support the project as part of the project coordination committee.
