Our Associate Degree program in Foreign Trade, with English as the language of instruction, has a curriculum comprising mandatory and elective courses totaling 120 ECTS credits over four semesters. Students who successfully complete these courses and a mandatory summer internship of 20 working days graduate with the title of Foreign Trade Specialist.
In today’s world, our graduates have various job opportunities in both private and public sectors, considering the significant share of the foreign trade sector in Turkey’s GDP. Furthermore, graduates of the Foreign Trade program have the opportunity to become customs consultant assistants without completing a related undergraduate program, by taking the customs consultant assistant exam conducted by the Ministry of Trade. Thus, our curriculum is designed to prepare students for this exam with its mandatory and elective courses. Those who wish to pursue an academic career can also take the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and transfer to relevant undergraduate programs.
Objective:
The aim of the Foreign Trade program is to educate graduates who possess knowledge in areas such as import, export, customs, exchange, and logistics, and who can meet the expectations of the sector.
Goals:
- To educate individuals who understand the objectives and relationships of businesses with their environment, have a sufficient level of foreign language proficiency, and can interpret and evaluate data using their knowledge and skills to identify and offer solutions to problems.

Program Objectives:
The main objective of the Foreign Trade program is to train qualified professionals with practical and theoretical knowledge in fields related to foreign trade, such as banking, transportation, customs, and exchange legislation. The program aims to educate students as professionals who can use computers effectively, as required in foreign trade transactions. Due to Turkey’s significant trade with European Union member countries and the harmonization of legislation during the EU accession process, students are also informed about EU legislation and integration, as well as foreign trade policies during the two-year program. Besides theoretical knowledge, the program also includes practical activities.
Who Can Apply to This Program?
To enter the Foreign Trade program and increase their chances of success after graduation, students should have an interest in social sciences, enjoy dealing with details, be disciplined, attentive, responsible, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and possess analytical thinking abilities.
