Director’s Message

Istanbul Gedik University School of Justice Vocational School was established in 2020 and conducts its educational activities on our Kartal campus. Our Justice Program, which was one of the programs of Istanbul Gedik University Vocational School between 2015 and 2020, has transformed into a program within the School of Justice Vocational School since 2020, operating in close cooperation and strong ties with the Faculty of Law.

Istanbul Gedik University School of Justice Vocational School provides education to train qualified personnel to meet the needs of assistant personnel at various levels in institutions and organizations operating in the field of judiciary and justice in both the public and private sectors.

Graduates of the School of Justice Vocational School can work as court clerks, record clerks, and bailiffs within the Ministry of Justice; they can perform duties related to all written affairs in execution directorates, especially executive directorship and deputy directorship tasks. They can also serve as prison directors, deputy directors, and clerks in penitentiaries. They can work as notary clerks in notary offices. Justice vocational schools train assistant staff needed in the written and procedural matters of law firms. Additionally, they can find employment opportunities in the banking and finance sector, as well as in the legal departments of various public institutions and private organizations.

Considering the wide range of employment opportunities for justice graduates and the responsibilities they undertake in their roles, we can say that our graduates play an important role in establishing justice in our country, operating in fundamental units such as courts, public prosecutor’s offices, execution directorates, law firms, notary offices, and penitentiaries.

To enable students of the School of Justice Vocational School to put their knowledge and skills into practice, a minimum of 20 days of internship is foreseen. By completing internships at courts and law firms, our students have the opportunity to experience the application of their knowledge in the functioning of justice services firsthand.

Furthermore, if they wish and meet the requirements, graduates of the School of Justice Vocational School can take the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and transfer to law faculties in Turkey by achieving the necessary scores. Istanbul Gedik University Law Faculty, with its esteemed faculty, collaborates with the School of Justice Vocational School to provide scholarships and various opportunities for students who aim to transfer to the faculty.

One of the essential requirements for a just society is the creation of a healthy justice/judiciary mechanism. Although this mechanism is a whole with its institutions and rules, ultimately, it is people who operate it. Therefore, it is essential that all individuals involved in the functioning of this mechanism, assuming different roles, not only receive the necessary education in terms of professional knowledge and skills but also internalize fundamental values and principles such as the supremacy of law, human rights, democracy, secularism, and equality.

With the awareness of undertaking a significant and heavy responsibility, which is to train individuals who will take on important roles in the functioning of the justice mechanism, Istanbul Gedik University School of Justice Vocational School provides education with the concern, goal, and vision of developing students in a multidimensional manner, both in terms of professional knowledge and skills and intellectual competence. We invite all university candidates to research and learn together in our university to realize these visions and objectives together, and we wish for everything to be as you desire.
