ENGLISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Students who successfully complete the English Preparatory Program at the B2 level, according to the CEFR framework, will be able to:
- Engage in conversations and discussions fluently and spontaneously, expressing ideas clearly and responding appropriately in both professional and everyday contexts.
- Understand the main ideas and supporting details in a variety of written texts, including articles, reports, and academic materials, on familiar and unfamiliar topics.
- Follow and comprehend extended speech, lectures, and discussions on both concrete and abstract topics, even when delivered at a natural speed.
- Present clear and structured arguments, opinions, or explanations on a range of topics, supporting ideas with relevant examples and evidence in both spoken and written forms.
- Write detailed, well-organized texts, such as essays, reports, and summaries, on a variety of topics, demonstrating appropriate use of tone, register, and style.
- Take effective notes during lessons or presentations, summarize key points, and actively contribute to discussions, group work, or presentations.
- Adjust their use of language according to purpose, audience, and context, including professional, academic, and social settings.
- Utilize strategies for learning new vocabulary, grammar, and skills independently, fostering ongoing language development beyond the classroom.
- Demonstrate intercultural awareness and use English to communicate effectively with people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Use English as a medium to understand and produce content in their field of study, equipping them for academic success in their respective faculties.
