FIRST MEETING OF THE ADVISORY BOARD OF DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
WE, AS INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS DEPARTMENT, REALIZED OUR FIRST GRAND ADVISORY BOARD MEETING WITH OUR SECTORAL ADVISORS ON 24 of JULY 2018 AT OUR NİŞANTAŞI CAMPUS
The meeting started with the openning speech by Professor Dr. Suha Atatüre, chief of International Relations Departmnent. He explained the new Education Model which will be applied by the department to this semester. Then the meeting continued with discussions among the advisors.
Our advisors are Founder of Açık Radyo Dr Ömer Madra, CEO of Lufthansa Airways in Turkey Kemal Geçer, Representative of Civil Society Şahin Tekgündüz, Television Programmer Mete Çubukçu and Turkey’s representative to EU in Brussel Burak Erdenir. Chief of department, academicians in the department and the student representatives are native members of the sectoral advisor team.
According to the agenda all advisors made an wonderfull discussions and they gave their ideas to the board. Mete Çubukçu and Burak Erdenir participated to the board by way of conference call. Ömer Madra while he gives a very broad and impressive information on climate change and destroying nature one hand and giving several samples mention on “human rights”, “climate rights” “international humanity rights” and “unjustice among generations” on the other. Civil disobedience was another subject with him.
Kemal Geçer, mostly concern on the department’s program. He insistantly mentioned “market concert” and paralel planning programs with the business World.
Şahin Tekgündüz, explained that the world becomes a chaotic mode that university programs also should cover this reality. He criticies capitalism and the role of it on this chaotic world. Every one of them our advisors declared that the Model and program of the department based on the model is near to excellent.
The meeting ended at the Healin Restaurant with more discussions and pleasure eating vegan meal.
