Programme Learning Outcomes

LO1: Main Concepts and Theories of the field: Students are familiar with the main sources in the literature of Political Science and International Relations. Knows the main concepts and theories of the field and the relations between them.

LO2: Research Methods: Knows the methods necessary to understand and interpret the information in the field and can diagnose the main problems of the field, analyze them with data and produce solutions.

LO3: Staying Current: Stay updated on new information, news, and commentary in Political Science and International Relations, and engage in discussions.

LO4: Interdisciplinary Studies: Students will be able to analyze and synthesize their knowledge in the field of Political Science and International Relations in comparison with the knowledge produced in fields such as Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration, Economics, Communication, History, Geography and Law, and create new perspectives.

LO5: Independent Work: To be able to access sources of information in his/her field, to conduct independent research and to organize his/her work into research or project reports and presentations.

LO6: Taking Responsibility: To be able to show individual initiative, to be able to take responsibility as an executive or team member in joint project studies, and to be able to fulfill the responsibilities assumed.

LO7: Social Communication Skills: To be able to explain, present and discuss information, study results and interpretations in academic and professional environments effectively in Turkish and English languages using written, oral and information & communication technologies.

LO8: Proficiency in Intercultural Communication: Demonstrate empathy for individuals who have grown up in cultural environments outside their own socio-cultural environment and communicate effectively with them in social or professional settings.

LO9: Social Responsibility: Students take social responsibility at global, national and local levels and embrace the duties of active citizenship by assuming social and ecological responsibilities within this framework.

LO10: Ethical Values: Acts in accordance with universal, social, cultural, scientific and ethical values.
