IHA Team Our Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Team, initially named Paper Plane, was founded in 2021 within our university. The team focused on designing unmanned aerial vehicles for cargo purposes. The Paper Plane Team participated in the TEKNOFEST 2022 International UAV Competition’s Free Mission Category, successfully passing the Conceptual Design Report stage but was eliminated in the Mission Video stage.
Among our university’s UAV teams established in 2022, ARKHE and VOLANS are working on autonomous systems to provide innovative solutions to current problems. The ARKHE Team participated in the TEKNOFEST 2023 International UAV Competition and was eliminated in the Mission Video stage. Our UAV named ARKHE aims to perform mapping in a specific area and gather data from the environment using sensors. The VOLANS Team participated in the TEKNOFEST 2023 Agricultural Technologies Competition, successfully passing the Project Pre-Evaluation Report stage with a score of 76.33 (threshold score: 70), but was eliminated in the Proje
ct Detail Report stage with a score of 85.33 (threshold score: 86). Our agricultural UAV VOLANS aims to analyze plant images in the agricultural field using deep learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, with the goal of detecting diseased plants. Additionally, it aims to present the collected data to the user through a mobile application.
As UAV teams, we continue our work and strive for self-improvement based on the experiences we have gained.
