Projects

In the curriculum, courses such as “Mechatronic System Design” and “Thesis/Project” are included to provide students with a main design experience where they can apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in classes, adhere to engineering standards, and work within realistic conditions and constraints. In addition to these courses, the “Interdisciplinary Design Project” course is offered throughout the faculty to specifically equip students with the competence and experience needed for interdisciplinary project management. The project topics for the Interdisciplinary Design Project course are determined in a manner that is suitable for multidisciplinary work, with the involvement of faculty members/instructors and program coordinators. These topics are designed to allow students to utilize the knowledge and skills they have acquired in previous courses, adhere to engineering standards, and work within realistic constraints and conditions, thereby creating a comprehensive design experience.

Within this context, our program’s faculty members provide project support to students in the following areas, as listed below:

  • Prof. Dr. Özden Aslan Çataltepe : Physics, Superconductor Materials, Thermodynamics
  • Doc. Dr. Savaş Dilibal : Intelligent Actuator Systems, Manufacturing Technologies, Material Behaviors
  • Doc. Dr. Haydar Şahin : Machine Theory and Dynamics, Engineering Design
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgür Yurtsever : Smart Materials, Shape Memory Alloys, Soft Robotics, Gripping Systems, Mechanical Alloying, Advanced Technologic Ceramics
  • Res. Asst. E. Tuğberk Gülnergiz : Biomechatronic Systems, Mechatronic System Design, Computer-Aided Manufacturing
  • Res. Asst. Bilal Görmüş : System Dynamics and Control, Control Systems
  • Asst. Feryadi Dağcı : Physics and Medical Physics
