Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Club set up a booth within the scope of orientation days in the 2024-2025 academic year and informed the new students who joined the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department about the club activities.
The graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 semester was held with the participation of our faculty members and students. We congratulate Murat ÖZKUL, the first in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department and the second in the faculty, and all our graduating students.
The 3rd Materials Days, organized jointly by the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Club and the Materials Technologies Application and Research Center (MATAM), was held on 4-5 March 2024 with the participation of industry representatives and audience interested in materials. The opening speeches were delivered by Sedef Melike Dalgıç, President of the Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering Club, and Prof. Dr. Haslet EKŞİ KOÇAK, Director of MATAM. 9th International Aluminum Symposium ALUS’09
By participating in scientific events such as national and international congresses, conferences, symposiums and career days in the field of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in our country, we follow all scientific developments in the sector and in the academy, and we offer our students the opportunity to provide internship and job opportunities by meeting with sector representatives. Thus, we prepare our students for industrial and academic life in a fun environment.
One of the faculty members of our department, Dr. Instructor Ayşe Berksoy Yavuz presented her oral presentation on ‘Investigation of Structural and Electrical Properties of PMN-PNN-PZN-PT Quadruple Solid Melt System’ and ‘Synthesis of Plate SrTiO3 Template Particles by Two Different Methods’ on 14-16 October at the X. Ceramics Congress with International Participation. A poster presentation on ‘Examination of Structural Properties’ was made.

Since the first semester of our department, we have been organizing seminars in our courses with expert academics and graduates working as engineers in the sector. Thus, our students can listen to the engineering applications they may encounter in the sector when they graduate, gain a significant vision for the future, and contribute to their personal development in order to direct their careers by determining the field they want to work in early.
