The opening of the “Gastronomy and Culinary Arts” Department within Istanbul Gedik University’s Faculty of Architecture and Design will enable the training of qualified, innovative, well-equipped, and dynamic students in the field of gastronomy, which is increasingly professionalizing both globally and in Turkey.
Currently, the perspective on Gastronomy and Culinary Arts is not merely seen as a profession but also as an aesthetic cultural branch. The field focuses on providing enjoyable and beautiful moments and experiences beyond just a pleasurable taste experience through food and beverage organization. Designing these moments and experiences is believed to contribute to Turkey and our university.
