Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

The main purpose of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Undergraduate Program at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Architecture and Design is to train designers who consider functional, structural and aesthetic criteria in the process of arranging spaces and space environments; who care about user needs; who can produce original, environmentally compatible and economical solutions.

Our faculty was established in 2011; Our department started education in the 2012-2013 academic year. The duration of education in our program is 4 years; It accepts students with a TM score from the Undergraduate Placement Exam.

Mission

To adopt lifelong learning principles; to train competent interior architects who are sustainable, innovative, human-oriented, environmentally respectful, ethical values ​​and legal regulations in design and planning disciplines, who can think critically about design principles and skills and take responsibility.

Vision

To train interior architects who can adapt to changes and shape the future by using science and technology in design studies at national and international levels, taking into account sustainable and universal design principles, and to be a pioneering department with its cultural and interdisciplinary studies.

Post-Graduation

Graduates of our department can work in design offices, construction sites, building material production and sales offices, renovation works, furniture and store designs. In addition, our graduates can continue their postgraduate programs in Türkiye and abroad and participate in academic activities.
