Pink Ball on the Field! Hand in Hand for Breast Cancer Awareness
We spent a meaningful day together at the “Pink Ball on the Court” volleyball event and booth, which we organized to raise breast cancer awareness and draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis. In this special event played with a pink ball, we experienced the joy of playing sports while taking another step to raise awareness in our society.
We would like to thank all the athletes, volunteers and everyone who participated. Remember, early diagnosis saves lives!

Advisory Board Meeting
Our Nursing Department Advisory Board Meeting was held efficiently on 09.10.2024. We would like to thank our external stakeholder professors, department faculty members, graduate students and 2nd year students who supported us with good suggestions for the curriculum and our department in the advisory board.
Zeynep Uyanıker, Research Assistant at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, mediated the signing of the Erasmus+ inter-institutional bilateral agreement between our University and Universita Degli Studi Di Foggia in Foggia, Italy, which will be valid until the end of the 2028-2029 academic year. The details of the agreement are in the table below:

Attention to our students who will take Summer School:
Within the scope of the Summer School, which will start on July 1, 2024, the “Women’s Health and Diseases Nursing” course from the Nursing Department courses will not be taught on July 01-02, 2024, and students will be informed again about the course dates.
School Health Nursing Course Activity
Within the scope of the School Health Nursing course, our 2nd grade students gave information to families and children about Oral and Dental Health, Healthy Nutrition, Child Abuse and Neglect, Hand Washing and Hand Hygiene and Peer Bullying and shared the brochures and activities they prepared with families at Gedik Barrier-Free Living Center.
A symposium titled “Nurses in the Clinical Decision Making Process: The Economic Power of Care” was organized on May 17, 2024, within the scope of Nursing Week, together with the Nursing Department Faculty Members and Students.
2209-A – University Students Research Projects Support Program
The support results of the applications made within the scope of the 2023/2 period of the “2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program” carried out by TUBITAK Directorate of Science Human Support Programs (BİDEB) were announced. As Gedik University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, 3 projects were entitled to receive support. We congratulate our faculty members and students of the Department of Nursing and wish them continued success.
