Physical Education and Sports Teaching

The Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching aims to train physical education and sports teachers who have the competence to teach children with different abilities, using effective and varied teaching methods.

With a program prepared with contemporary educational approaches, it ensures that department students have the competence to prepare and implement programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development using play and sports methods.

The department offers 50% of its courses in the form of “Field Courses,” which include courses related to sports disciplines, physical fitness, health education, and first aid. Additionally, 30% of the courses are “Teaching Knowledge Courses,” covering subjects like educational psychology and introduction to education. The remaining 20% consists of “General Culture Courses,” such as Total Quality Management and Entrepreneurship. In our curriculum, 66% of the courses are theoretical, while 34% are practical.
