The conditions we seek in candidates applying for our master’s program:

  • Graduates of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Nuclear Energy Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Physics Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematics Engineering, Geophysics Engineering, Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Marine Sciences and Marine Technology Engineering, Coastal Engineering, and graduates of Technical Education Faculties in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical-Electronics, Electronic, Electronic-Computer Education, Civil Aviation Colleges, and graduates of Army, Air Force, and Naval War Colleges can apply. Equivalency of foreign undergraduate diplomas must be approved by the Higher Education Board (YÖK).
  • A minimum score of 55 in the ALES quantitative (numerical) score type or an equivalent score from a similar exam.

The required documents for applying to our master’s program:

  • Notarized copy of the bachelor’s degree diploma or a graduate certificate obtained from E-Devlet.
  • Original or notarized copy of the bachelor’s transcript (documents obtained from E-Devlet are accepted).
  • ALES exam result (with the Result Control Code).
  • Original and photocopy of the ID card.
  • Recent Military Service Status Certificate for male applicants (documents obtained from E-Devlet are accepted).
  • 1 passport-sized photo.

Student Admission Criteria:

Admission to master’s programs is based on ALES scores, undergraduate GPA, and interview results. A ranking of candidates is made based on the sum of 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate overall GPA, and 30% of the interview score. An official list and a waiting list are announced, and if the candidates from the official list do not enroll, those from the waiting list are given the opportunity to register. The minimum passing score for admission to the master’s program is 55 out of 100.
