The conditions we seek in candidates applying for our doctoral program are as follows:
- Graduates of any thesis-based master’s program and students who graduated from non-thesis master’s programs before June 2, 2013, can apply for the doctoral program.
- A minimum score of 55 from the ALES exam in any score type or an equivalent score from a related exam.
- Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate (A minimum score of 55 from YDS or an equivalent score from a related exam is required for the application).
The documents required for registration in the doctoral program are:
- Notarized copy of the bachelor’s degree diploma or E-Government Graduation Certificate
- Original bachelor’s transcript, notarized copy, or E-Government printout
- Notarized copy of the master’s degree, or E-Government Graduation Certificate
- Original master’s transcript, notarized copy, or E-Government printout
- Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate (related to the exams listed in the YÖK Foreign Language Equivalency Table)
- ALES Exam Result (with a Result Control Code)
- Original and photocopy of the identity card
- For male candidates, a recently issued Military Status Certificate (documents obtained from E-Government are accepted)
- 1 passport-sized photograph
Student Admission Criteria:
Admission to doctoral programs is based on ALES scores, undergraduate and master’s GPA, and interview results. A success ranking is determined among candidates based on the calculated score, considering 50% of the ALES score, 10% of the undergraduate GPA, 10% of the master’s GPA, and 30% of the interview and/or science exam result. An official list and a waiting list are announced if necessary, up to the program quota. The minimum success score for admission to doctoral programs is 55 out of 100.
