At least 55 points in Equal Weight type must be obtained from Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES). (No ALES requirement for the non-Turkish Citizen candidates).
It is required to have at least 55 foreign language points out of 100 full points from the foreign language exam held at Istanbul Gedik University or the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS) conducted by ÖSYM or equivalent and valid exams. If the student brings a foreign language exam result document with international validity, the equivalence with the above grades is determined by the School of Foreign Languages Directorate.

- ALES is not required for Regional Studies in International Relations (English) Non-Thesis Master Program.
- Applicants must submit their English proficiency exam results. The minimum score is 60 for YDS/YÖKDİL/UDS/KPDS; 72 for TOEFL-IBT; 55 for PTE (Pearson Test of English Academic); C for CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) and C for CAE (Cambridge English Qualifications). Applicants who do not submit any of these exam results has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in Istanbul Gedik University.
- The pass mark is 60% of undergraduate cumulative GPA and 40% of the admission exam score.
- The candidates must get minimum 65 out of 100 on both written and oral admission exams.
