Dear Students,
Political Science and International Relations are closely related fields that make it possible to address issues related to both domestic and foreign politics.
The discipline of Political Science examines topics such as authority, legitimacy, class, and political participation in the context of the state, society, groups, and individuals. The discipline of International Relations, on the other hand, explores the fundamental dynamics of the global system and the mutual relations between domestic and foreign policies.
Students participating in the English Non-Thesis Master’s Program of Istanbul Gedik University’s Department of Political Science and International Relations will specialize in different subfields of Political Science, such as Comparative Politics, Turkish Politics, and Political Thought, while also specializing in various subfields of International Relations. They will be able to scientifically study the existing or emerging national, regional, and global dynamics, especially the increasingly diverse foreign relations of countries, using academic methods and approaches.
The aim of the English Non-Thesis Master’s Program in Political Science and International Relations is to cultivate graduates who have assimilated the fundamental sources of their own field and main discipline, and can effectively apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in contemporary life.
As our students will specialize in both International Relations and Political Science, our graduates have rich employment opportunities. Graduates of our program can be found not only in public institutions but also in non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and academia.
We would be delighted to welcome you among us.
