ABOUT 2020-2021 ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM
Dear Students,
English Proficiency exam will be held remotely/online.
FOR REGISTERED STUDENTS:
Exam start date and time is 23.09.2020 10:30.
Exam end date and time is 23.09.2020 12:10.
The exam will start and end at the time mentioned above; on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. You have 100 minutes to complete the exam. In order not to encounter any problems, be ready 10 minutes before the exam. At the end of the exam, you will have an additional 10 minutes to submit the exam.
First, open Zoom link from your email, then you can reach the exam paper on the specified date by clicking the link below.
Username: Student Number
Password: TR Identity Number (first 5 digits)
*** If you have changed your password in the Student Information System (OBS), you must log in with that password.
General Information About the Exam:
- While submitting the exam, save the file as the name_surname.docx (Example: fehmi_yilmaz.docx).
- The exam is 100 minutes.
- In order to start the exam, you must tick the “I have read the exam instructions and rules, I agree” option at the bottom of the page and click the “start the exam” button.
- The exam consists of Reading, Use of English, Writing and Speaking sections.
- You cannot take the exam after 10 minutes.
- The exam will be held via Zoom. The link will be sent to your email address.
- All transactions you will perform in the exam will be recorded. By taking the exam, the student declares that s/he accepts the following:
- After starting the exam, any action (closing the browser, refreshing the page, pressing the back button on the page, etc.) other than normal exam flow procedures (seeing the question, proceeding to the next question) within your active session will be considered an abnormal activity. When the system sees that the number of abnormal activities has increased, it will be able to give a warning on the panel and terminate the exam. For this reason, complete your exam by just clicking the buttons on the question panel on the page.
- When you start the exam, your screen will switch to “full screen” mode. If you exit “full screen” mode during the exam, your exam session will be terminated, and your exam will be invalid.
- Exams of students found to have committed ethical violations will be invalid.
- Student will bring the Student Identity Card with them
- Student will turn on the microphone and camera during the exam
- Student will be observed online by the observer during the exam
- Student will have stable and fast internet connection during the exam
- Student will pass the system test using the equipment s/he plans to take during the exam
- Student will not leave the room and be alone during the exam
- Student will use the computer without security gate or VPN restriction
- Student will not use any other technological equipment not mentioned in the articles above
- Note: For students who cannot access computers may take the exam in the laboratories of our university.
