Explanations regarding the Pedagogical Formation;

Conducting Courses and Attendance Requirement

The provisions of the “Istanbul Gedik University Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, and Examination Regulations” are applicable, and attendance is mandatory for the courses. There is a 70% attendance requirement for theoretical courses and an 80% attendance requirement for practical courses.

Evaluation Criteria

The success grade given to a student is calculated by taking 40% of the average of the grades obtained from at least one midterm exam, which is determined at the beginning of the semester, and/or from projects, assignments, or other work that can substitute for an exam, along with 60% from the final exam. In order for a student to be considered successful, they must score at least 40 in the final (make-up) exam.

Fee Structure

The fees for the Pedagogical Formation courses for the 2024-2025 Fall Semester are 1,000 TL per credit (including VAT).

Course Load

Pedagogical Formation courses can be taken together with major and double major courses, not exceeding a total of 45 ECTS credits.

Exams

Exams consist of midterm exams, final exams, make-up exams, and excuse exams.

Students from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years can apply for the Pedagogical Formation Training.

About the PFR109 Teaching Practice Course

Students who will do their internship at designated schools in the spring semester must register by completing the payment process for the PFR109 Teaching Practice course. Registration will not be processed for other students, even if the payment has been made.
