A 16-MEMBER DELEGATION COMPRISED OF PH.D., MASTER’S, AND UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS FROM THE FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT AT TSINGHUA UNIVERSITY, CHINA, VISITED OUR UNIVERSITY.
A 16-member delegation consisting of PhD, master’s, and undergraduate students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology and the Faculty of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University, located in Beijing, the capital of China, visited our university on August 21, 2024.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held to discuss potential collaborations and joint projects. As of the meeting date, the meeting was attended by our university’s Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Uğraş, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Şakir Dinçşahin, and Dr. Lecturer Selim Sezer, Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Savaş Dilibal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Redvan Ghasemlounia from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Lecturer Doruk Gürkan from the Department of Nanotechnology Engineering, Vice Chair of the Industrial Engineering Department Dr. Lecturer Bestem Esi, and Dr. Lecturer Fahriye Enda Tolon, Sibel Karabel from the Asia-Pacific Strategic Studies Application and Research Center, Tuğçe Türkay and Sena Gürbüz from the Technology Transfer Office, and İlayda Önder from the International Relations and Erasmus Coordination Office.
During the meeting, potential collaborations between the two universities were evaluated, and discussions were held on future joint projects. Following the meeting, the delegation and university representatives shared a lunch, where further discussions on strengthening relations continued.
The visit was considered an important step toward strengthening the cooperation between the two universities.
