An International Gathering in the Field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation: The 19th Advances in Physiotherapy Congress
Organized biennially by Hacettepe University, the International Advances in Physiotherapy Congress is one of the most prestigious scientific events in the physiotherapy community. This year, the 19th edition of the congress was held on April 9–11, 2025, in Ankara.
With the theme “Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Health and Disease”, the congress served as a platform for sharing the latest scientific developments in the field, both nationally and internationally. With over 100 expert speakers in attendance, the event featured numerous sessions covering a wide range of topics, including the integration of technological innovations into clinical physiotherapy practice.
At the congress, our university’s Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, served as the session chair for the session titled “Special Topics in Neurological Rehabilitation.”
Additionally, Research Assistant İrem Nur Usluer delivered an presentation titled “The Long-Term Psychological Effects of the Earthquake: Anxiety and Stress Levels of University Students Two Years After the Disaster.”
