High School Students Visit Istanbul Gedik University’s Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department

On March 14, 2025, students from KOCAELİ/DARICA –Öğretmen Füsun Erdemir Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School visited the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Gedik University.

During the visit, our Department Head, Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, and faculty member Asst. Prof. Amine Ataç provided the students with detailed information about our university and department. They also delivered an informative presentation on the importance of the physiotherapy profession, its fields of work, and career opportunities.

Additionally, our faculty member Lecturer Dr. Tanju Özsoy, who teaches anatomy in our department, conducted a sample lecture on one of our core courses, anatomy. This session allowed students to gain firsthand insight into the role and significance of anatomy in physiotherapy education.

The visiting students had the opportunity to ask our faculty members questions about the education process in physiotherapy and professional life, receiving direct answers to their inquiries. This productive event provided valuable perspectives for students in planning their future education and careers.
