To The Attention of Our Students

TO THE ATTENTION OF STUDENTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO FREEZE REGISTRATION DUE TO COVID- 19 PANDEMIA  IN 2019-2020 SPRING SEMESTER

Due to the new Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19); The following decisions have been taken  by  Higher Education Council:

Freezing the  Registration is available Associate, Undergraduate and Graduate Students and Postgraduate education thesis Stage but it is  ONLY specific to the spring semester of 2019-2020 academic year.

1) If the students ,enrolled at the associate, undergraduate and graduate levels,  request  from the university  to freeze their registration for the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year ,the frozen period will not be counted within the maximum period,

2) In Addition Students who are at thesis stage in postgraduate education;

a) In the event that their subjects, quality of their theses are approved, and if they have the opportunity to continue their dissertations with distance education, they can continue their education during the thesis period.

b) If they wish to freeze registration , it depends on the decision of their thesis advisor. It  will  also be  evaluated and decided by the university

c) During this period, for students who are in the thesis period and whose maximum duration has expired, an additional period of time will be given as much as the break  period given  in education,

In the determination of thesis submission, defense and proficiency exam dates, taking into consideration the impact of the global epidemic and students’ conditions, the thesis defense and proficiency exams can be held with digital means “provided that they are carried out under controllable environment and conditions”, It is also decided by Higher Education Council  that  possibility of  postponement and registration freezing  in this regard is available.

It is decided that these decisions should be limited to the Spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.

***Note: As These decisions are taken with regard to Pandemia  for the relief of students’ troubles, the decisions  are not applicable for students who did not enroll in the 2019-2020 Spring Semester are not able to apply.

How is the Registration Freezing Process Performed in the scope of Covid-19 pandemia  in 2019-2020 Spring Semester?

1-Enter the Student Information System

2- Click on the Application Process on the left,

3- Click the Registration Freeze Application button,

4- Click the Register Freeze Apply button, follow the application result from the OBS system.
