The 20th Interior Architecture Department Heads Meeting was held on November 22, 2024, hosted by the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of Özyeğin University.

The meeting, which was held at the AB4 G25 meeting hall of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design of Özyeğin University, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Zerrin Funda ÜRÜK representing IGUN Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department.

Within the framework of the main title determined as “Current Approaches in Interior Architecture”, 3 sessions were held on the themes of “Information on Accredited Institutions”, “Projects Conducted / Supported in Interior Architecture” and “Digitalization in Interior Architecture Education”.

The 20th Interior Architecture Department Heads Meeting (20th İBBT) was held in the first session with the participation of TAPLAK Design and Planning Accreditation Association Board Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif GÜNEŞ (Atılım University), co-chair Dr. Lecturer Murat ÖZDAMAR (Bilkent University), Assoc. Dr. Meryem YALÇIN (TOBB University of Economics and Technology) and Dr. Lecturer Esin FAKIBABA DEDEOĞLU (TOBB University of Economics and Technology) provided information about TAPLAK and the accreditation process in interior architecture education. In the second session, national or international projects carried out or supported in interior architecture and related fields were presented, and in the third session, digitalization issues in interior architecture education were discussed.
