“International Mother Language Day” Event Organized by Mrs. Kamrun Nahar

International Mother Language Day was announced by UNESCO on 17 November 1999 as 21 February. The main name of the International Mother Language Day is the Mother Language Movement Day. This day was commemorated as the anniversary of the murder of Bangladeshi college students who clashed with Bangladesh police for the Bengali Language Movement.

“International Mother Language Day” event was held on Zoom with the participation of our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Hülya Gedik, Our Rector Prof.Dr. Nihat Akkuş from the Koç University Comparative Literature Department Dr Nazmi Ağıl and Gedik University lecturers and students.
