Istanbul Gedik University Signs Academic Cooperation Agreement with Malaysian University of Technology

At the 10th Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2025), a memorandum of understanding was signed between Istanbul Gedik University and one of Malaysia’s leading higher education institutions, Malaysia Technology University, to establish academic cooperation. The memorandum was signed with the participation of our esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kesik, and the Vice Chancellor of Malaysia Technology University, Prof. Dr. Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim. The signing ceremony was also attended by the President of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.

Under the signed protocol, the two universities agreed to collaborate on joint research and development activities, academic staff exchange, and student exchange at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, the cooperation aims to include the sharing of information, academic materials, and publications, as well as the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and workshops.
The parties also agreed to explore and develop new areas of collaboration that will offer mutual benefits in the future.
