VISIT FROM COLLÈGE DE PARIS DELEGATION TO ISTANBUL GEDIK UNIVERSITY
A two-person delegation from Collège de Paris, based in France, visited Istanbul Gedik University on October 22, 2024. The visit included Sumru Caillard, the Director of International Students, and Erica Cruz, the International Partnerships Specialist, representing Collège de Paris. Important discussions were held during the visit to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and evaluate potential collaboration opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Şakir Dinçşahin, Vice-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Dr. Ahmet Özcan, Assistant Professor from the Department of Political Science and International Relations, Research Assistants Alper Tunga Şahiner and Ela Özkan, Dr. Metin Toptaş, Assistant Professor from the Department of International Trade and Finance, Antonina Nemtinova from the School of Foreign Languages, and Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, along with İlayda Önder.
The delegation was also received by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kesik.
During the discussions, potential cooperation opportunities between Collège de Paris and Istanbul Gedik University were explored, including the development of joint degree programs, the planning of summer school programs, and the signing of Erasmus agreements. Both parties focused on projects that would deepen their institutional collaboration, with the hope that these discussions will soon lead to concrete partnerships.
We are optimistic that this significant visit will pave the way for projects offering our students and staff a wider range of opportunities in the international arena.
