PROJECT SUPERVISED BY ASST. PROF. TUĞBAY BURÇİN GÜMÜŞ AWARDED TÜBİTAK 2209-A FUNDING
The project titled “The Contribution of the Pygmalion Effect in the Business World to Inter-Business Dynamics and Economic Growth” has been granted funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program, 2023, 2nd Term, managed by TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB).
This significant research project focuses on the Pygmalion effect as a key factor in understanding the dynamics of inter-business relationships and their impact on economic growth. While the Pygmalion effect is typically studied in the context of individual performance, its role in inter-business interactions and contributions to economic growth remain underexplored.
The research aims to provide an in-depth analysis of how expectations shape business-to-business relationships and influence collaboration and performance. By examining these dynamics, the study seeks to bridge a critical gap in understanding the interactions between businesses and offer new perspectives for strengthening strategic relations in the corporate world.
In particular, the study will explore the impact of expectations in supplier-business and business-customer relationships, providing valuable insights that could inform businesses’ strategic decision-making processes. This research not only addresses a vital area in business studies but also offers practical implications for enhancing cooperative dynamics and fostering sustainable economic growth.
Congratulations to Asst. Prof. Tuğbay Burçin Gümüş and the project team for their outstanding contribution to this field!
