13 August 2018 International Patent for Dr. Erdem Tezcan’s Invention

Dr. Erdem Tezcan, a faculty member in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences, is one of the inventors of a method for producing wood pulp and cellulose. This invention has been granted Turkish and American patents, registered under “PILE DELIGNIFICATION” with the patent numbers TR2014/0968B and US 10,006,167 B2.

Our esteemed colleague is conducting his research at YUTEG Biotechnology, a company at Teknopark Istanbul, under the University-Industry collaboration framework supported by the Istanbul Gedik University Technology Transfer Office. We congratulate him and wish him continued success.
