2nd Advisory Board Meeting of the Department of Architecture was held

The Advisory Board meeting of the Department of Architecture was held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 9:30 am as a hybrid face-to-face and online meeting. In the meeting, a detailed information was given about the decisions of the 2024/1st Advisory Board and their effects on the Architecture Program. The status and requirements of the MIAK accreditation process were discussed and conveyed to the members. The members of the Advisory Board brought up the issue of earthquake, which is one of the most important problems of Turkey, emphasizing the need to raise awareness of students in this field; in this context, it was stated that the department added new earthquake-related courses to the course plan in 2023. The relationship between the theoretical and practical courses and the outcomes of the Design Studios was

discussed. The meeting was concluded by stating that all suggestions will be examined by the Department Board and new regulations will be integrated into the education system.
