Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Academic Staff participated in the V. International Symposium on Gastronomy, Tourism and Cultural Studies.

Istanbul Gedik University Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts academic staff participated in the V. International Symposium on Gastronomy, Tourism and Cultural

Studies held in Izmir on October 10-12, 2024 with oral presentations. At the symposium, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts academic staff;

  •  Prof. Dr. Nihan Yarmacı Güvenç, Assoc. Assist. Uğur Lokman, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Kurnaz, prepared a study titled “The Sustainability of the Ancestral Drink Kımız, which was Introduced to Izmir as a Result of Migration: The Case of Kemalpaşa Alash Kazak Valley” ,
  • Asistant Prof.Dr. Ela Nazlı Köz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nihan Yarmacı Güvenç, Lecturer Büşra Diken Koçak presented title of “Bibliometric Analysis of Studies on Turkish Culinary Culture”
  • Lecturer Büşra Diken Çolak and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nihan Yarmacı Güvenç prepared “Reflections of Commercialization on Culinary Culture: Abkhaz Cuisine”
  •  Research Assistant. Gör. Seray Evren’s “Investigation of Balıkesir Province in terms of Gastronomy Tourism Development Indicators” prepared in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Serkan Şengül
