Sn. Türkan Gök attended ‘Trainer Education Program” held at Sabancı University, School of languages

The Sabancı University School of Languages Trainer Education Program was designed to provide an introduction to teacher training in ELT and aims to help participants develop the knowledge, skills and awareness required for effective teacher training with a view to catering for the training and development needs of teachers in their own institutions and in a wider training context. This is achieved by:

• raising participants’ awareness and knowledge of issues related to effective teaching and learning
• giving participants an opportunity to reflect on their own and others’ practices as teachers and (potential) trainers
• raising participants’ awareness and knowledge of effective training methodology and presentation skills
• giving participants practice in providing methodological and affective support to
  teachers through classroom observations and individual supervision planning and presenting training sessions
• helping participants develop their knowledge and skills in conducting research in the area of teacher training
• helping participants develop their knowledge and skills in designing professional development activities
